Both ecasound and sox can be used to record audio from the soundcard. Sox probably came with your distribution. The realplayer rtk and the trplayer front-end can be used to play sound files (check out the speakup site). This includes real-player files from the web. The soundgrab program can be used to extract portions of a sound file to separate files and then recombined into a new, complete, file using the cat command. t On Mon, 7 Jul 2003, Kristoffer Gustafsson wrote: -hello! -is there any good prograqm for linux I can use to edit, mix and record -sounds and audio like soundforge? - -kristoffer - - -_______________________________________________ - -Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx -https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list - _______________________________________________ Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list
