Sendmail is one of few things in Unix that should be gone long time ago. There are superior replcements for it and people should seriously look into them. Exim from http://www.exim.org and Postfix. Unless you are running old system with special additions or modifications and Sendmail there is no reason to torture yourself with editing silly Sendmail configuration file or use another obscure format, macros, for it.
