Re: Lynx Question

It sounds like you may need to turn off the switch that
determines whether the image tags on the graphics are read. That
can sometimes be a tremendous help to be able to hear that if you
are having trouble with a web page, but one can certainly turn it
off and on at will. The variable in question looks like

VERBOSE_IMAGES:FALSE

or TRUE depending upon what you want to hear or read in Braille.
Read about your lynx.cfg file and how you can customize it.

You can also temporarily turn a switch on or off by
overriding its setting on the command line if you need something
to be different for one particular site, but not normally.

As an example, there is a status flag which if you have
it configured on, lynx -nostatus http://somelink.com will start
lynx with the flag turned off. The next time you run lynx and
don't say -nostatus, the flag will return to how it is set in
your lynx.cfg file.
