Strange extended ASCII characters in Red Hat setup screens?

Hi Janina and all,

I hope you can help me with something that is very disconcerting.  Since upgrading to Red Hat 8.0, when I use the character based utilities, such as setup, after installation of the system from a remote terminal, I'm getting all kinds of extended ASCII characters.  Is there something I can do on the RH box itself to fix this, or is it something I'm just going to have to filter using my screen reader?

Thanks.
