Hi, Nektarios: You've stumbled across a known bug in the current release of the Speakup Modified Red Hat Distribution. There is a workaround and we're working on a solution. The workaround is also documented in the latest draft version of our installation HOWTO available at: http://www.linux-speakup.org/ftp/disks/redhat/HOWTO_INSTALL.html Here's what you should do: 1.) Create a bootable floppy or a bootable cdrom using only the boot floppy image. 2.) Boot from this floppy (or cdrom) without the installation cd rom available to the system. In other words, keep the drive bay open, or don't insert the installation CD ROM yet. 3.) This will give you an additional screen that asks you to specify where the installation images can be found. At this point you can insert the CD ROM and continue. PS: There is also a second bug where the speech appears to be one line below where your selection actually is. In other words, your installation language selection appears to default to French, though it is actually on English. Be careful. This behavior continues on many screens. The problem has been narrowed the the new release of ncurses and the newt library in particular. We are also working toward a fix with this problem.
