I think I read on one of my other lists that at least one browser (I think maybe Mozzilla) has some way to be configured that satisfies web sites that won't even let you into the site if you aren't using Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer (at least 4.0 of either). I wondered if links or lynx had anything like this. I just tried two straight sites that give this big speech about cookies and offer you a link to download IE or Netscape. Then they won't even let you into the site unless you have one of those browsers! I don't mind if sites recommend a certain browser; you often find you can manage fine without that recommendation. but I do mind it when they barr you from entry unless you use just certain browsers.
