VMware installation is handled by Perl scripts. VMware configuration is handled by the VMware client software, so is not accessible. VMware will let you run Windows and a Windows screen reader. For best results, you might need a hardware speech synthesizer. There is more information about this in the blinux archive because this question comes up frequently. PS: VMware 3.0 is now in beta.
