Hi John, I hav'nt followed your emails on the braille device, but here are one or two things you can try. 1. cat /etc/modules.conf and look for some thing grabing the interrupt in question. I read something about a winmodem. You might find the module for that modem are still configured in /etc/modules.conf. do dmesg | more and look for some thing related to your com ports. You will see what the system think their interupts and io-base addresses are.
