Hi Kurokawa-san,

I did some test:
- Boot a H3ulcb image from AGL ll branch on the new U-boot version (The one from RCAR BSP 5.5.0) without any trouble.

So I guess "Unofficially" old images work on the new U-boot.

Best Regards,
Ronan Le Martret

Hi Jan-simon.

"Officially", I would say that we recommend to you need to use by proper combination u-boot and BSP version.

Best regards,
Kurokawa

Yes, LGTM if your M3 boards are v1 or v2 .

To summarize:
* r8a77951 is for H3
* r8a77960 is for M3 v1/v2
* r8a77961 is for M3 v3

And I also expect the new uboot to be able to load "old" kernel/dtb
configs (LL). But that's a good point: this needs some testing. Ronan
will report his findings ASAP on this topic.

At least on the reference hardware I had no issue with booting the new kernel with the old firmware + U-Boot and the old
kernel with the new firmware + U-Boot after doing an upgrade, so long as the dtb name is set appropriately.
