Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora have made last week on Weston/Wayland and Pipewire.
Weston/Wayland
Marius:
- SPEC-4009 (WAM - Support multiple client surfaces for the client shell) - addressing review comments.
- SPEC-4020 (Investigate tear line in rpi4 platform) - investigation into rpi4 tearing issues. Suggested some alternatives until root cause is found.
Application Framework
Arnaud:
- Setup project and build demo image
- Look into current app FW
- Investigate Flatpak runtime creation using Yocto
IC Sound Manager
George:
- SPEC-4027: Tested and fixed some issues on pipewire-ic-ipc (ex wpipc) and added systemd socket support
- SPEC-4027: Integrated pipewire-ic-ipc in the agl-lxc build and posted it on gerrit:
- SPEC-4027: Started working on a wireplumber update on master, to include a multi-process setup, with different wireplumber instances for: device control, policy and bluetooth.
