Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora have made last week on Weston/Wayland and Pipewire.

- SPEC-3799 (Left icon bar overlapping launcher area) - continue working on the mock-up prototype for WAM to support multiple surfaces. Working rudimentary implementation which requires a bit more work, and polish. Draw up some tasks to improve and clarify requirements: SPEC-3961 (Serialize/Deserialize WAM socket communication for passing complex data), SPEC-3962 (Read out config.xml data to pass it by to the rendering process), SPEC-3963 (Re-work WebApp loading in WAM to use the surfaces list) and SPEC-3966 (Dynamically use fake entry points to allow loading multiple pages in the same widget (client-shell)), SPEC-3969 ([WAM] Implement some simple queue for dispatching start-events to avoid colliding with client shell). Some recipe work probably needs updating to integrate it. Aside from that, we need also a way to be able to bundle multiple html5/webapps into a single widget, and opened SPEC-3965 (Bundle multiple webapp sources in the same widget for the client-shell) to take care of that. This will be transparent for/to regular applications, only affecting the client shell. Customizable using the config.xml to specify which part of the webapp maps to which surface role.
