Hello Walt,

There has not been a change to the schedule. It is still possible to meet the LL M1 for the initial code drop.

I will also shortly provide an update on the gerrit review 26094, so that the community can start testing pipewire changes sooner.

Best regards,
George

Hi Nick,
Can you provide a schedule update on the Sound Manager work?
The original schedule had an initial code drop of the Instrument Cluster containerization task by May 15, in time for Lucky Lamprey M1. Is this still possible?

Walt

    Hi All,

Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora have
made last week on Weston/Wayland and Pipewire.

    *Weston / Wayland*

    Nothing to report

*Pipewire & WirePlumber (IC Sound Manager)*

    George
    - Fixed a crash in the bluetooth ofono backend that prevented
    connecting a phone over bluetooth
    - Improved the A2DP source and HFP Audio Gateway implementation so
that nodes are created dynamically only when there is an active
stream on the AG device (i.e. the phone):

    https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/merge_requests/533 <https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/merge_requests/533>
    - Added a new bluetooth "Audio Gateway" profile that activates both
A2DP source and HFP AG and allows the AG device to select which
profile to use (instead of having to select it also on the PipeWire
    end):

    Julian
    - Updated and fixed wireplumber unit tests with new WpSessionItem
    and WpEndpoint refactoring changes
    - Made sure refactoring changes do not break wireplumber and created
    MR:
    https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/wireplumber/-/merge_requests/130
    <https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/wireplumber/-/merge_requests/130>

    Raghavendra
    - Debugged and fixed the issue with the API documentation generated
by Sphinx/Exhale where the documentation of all APIs in the HTMl is
wrongly rendered with an error "Cannot find function in doxygen xml
    output"

    Kind regards,

    Nick
