Collabora weekly progress w/e 31st January 2021

Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora have made last week on Weston/Wayland and Pipewire.

Marius

- SPEC-3359 (Adding qt logging rules crashes in qtwayland libs) - investigated crash when enabling Qt logging rules. Patch to mitigate the issue w/ probable cause being a missing library (code assumes it is always present). Upstream should also be engaged as the issue should happen as well on other platforms if that input library is missing. 

- SPEC-3731 (Graphical Vbox issues: window size/resize failing and incorrect output) - Investigated VirtualBox resolution cap to 800x600. Enabling 3D or increasing the memory size of the display unit allows to set-up higher resolutions. Unforunately none of the resolutions match the one specified in the config file. Looking into two alternatives: add an additional entry in the config to try a specific modeline as a fall back, or check with the DRM backend if there isn't anything missing when choosing a modeline closest to the one in the config file. 

- DONE: Moved WirePlumber's endpoint creation logic to a lua script

- DONE: Cleaned up obsolete code in WirePlumber

- WIP: Moving misc configuration to lua
