Hi All, Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora have made last week on Weston/Wayland. Weston / Wayland Marius - SPEC-3580 - revisiting screenshoter CI integration - started revising the CI integration for using the agl-screenshooter. All the code in place to allow screenshots to take place need to amend the CI to stop the current client, start the testing client shell and perform a screen of that. Afterwards compare it with a reference image. Among othe details, this showed that CI also needs to support multiple client shells. - https: //gerrit.automotivelinux.org/gerrit/c/src/agl-compositor/+/25556 - minor fix to the compositor to avoid spurious emit signals in some cases - SPEC-3604, SPEC-3605 - waltham-receiver requires the SDK to contain the changes for waltham. These had to be cherry-picked from a larger series that contain them before adding recipe that adds waltham-dev to the SDK (CI uses SDK for builds). - SPEC-3683 (debugging qt3d issue) - only had time for a quick look, seems that using Qt3D causes the application to stop/crash. Unsure at this stage, it does require some further testing and investigation - https://gerrit.automotivelinux.org/gerrit/c/src/waltham-transmitter-plugin/+/25555 - revewing doc updates on the transmitter/receiver and waltham - https: //gerrit.automotivelinux.org/gerrit/c/src/agl-compositor/+/25486 - Follow-up conversation with upstream about protocol and libweston-desktop implemenetation is that it assumes that the window metadata application-specific properties (which app_id and title are) are assumed to be available on the next commit. Unfortunatelly haven't reached a consensus if other implementation make the same assumption and it requires a bit of surveying to determine if that is something that other implemention do or not. Kind regards, Nick
