actually to understand the socketcan i tried setting up vcan in linux using the below commands i am able to send and receive CAN data.
Setup the vcan
sudo modprobe vcan sudo ip link add dev vcan0 type vcan
sudo ip link set up can0
In one terminal CAN data sent
cansend can0 123#1122334455667788
In another terminal CAN data received
candump can0
I guess we also need to install can-utils for this.
But in AGL-telematics sudo is disabled! cannot install anything
How can we create server and client since i cant create two terminal there?
How can we enable telematics recorder and send the data to it?
What is the necessary things to be taken care while building telematics image?
i tried creating
chsmack -a _ /etc/xdg/telematics-recorder.conf
but i dont know later steps.
Please help me out for the detailed steps to make telematic demo recorder takes the data.
