Thank you, I will be watching the SPEC you are reffering to.
To answer your question I've managed to export network from .dbc file as an .xml file using CANdb++.
As for converting exported .xml file to a json format I also managed to do it using [1] as you suggested.
On the other hand neither xml to json conversion nor generation of application-generated.cpp from a json file (created by canmatrix) described at [2] worked for me.

My first question so you have a ".dbc"-File that is not converting? At the moment I'm not sure if it is a problem with my file or in the pipeline.
Last week I did some tests with https://canmatrix.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ and converted vom dbc to json.
After that I converted by hand one signal as a test and it seems to be good.
