As Romain said on the mailing list, It is totally possible but I assume you will need to develop an AGL app/service with enhancing agl-service-can-low-level service. Timestamping is no big deal, you can get the time data from kernel or GPS. If I were you I will choose the GPS time since it is more precise and reliable.
