Re: Renesas H3 Audio Input Jack Muted

Thanks Kurokawa-san,

Yes , now I remember that we already had a discussion about this.

The bug is not related to 4a (that does not handle audio capture yet today),
but to the fact that the Congent's BSP introduces an artefact (forcing
the audio rate and format in the device configuration), that pure alsa tools,
or alsa applications in general, won't do.

If Cogent does that, that is very likely for working around to a bad driver implementation
for the ak4613 device. At least, a detailed comment about this hack is missing.

Alsa applications (typically, "arecord", or the alsa backend of gstreamer) -should- be able to
use the ak4613 capture, without any other extra parameter or init, or, even worse,
without relying on pulseaudio.

Best regards (and see you soon at the next F2F, I have got a small gift for you !)

Hi Audio guys (George or thierry)

Renesas BSP support audio input on Kingfisher and Starter kit, but current AGL doesn’t work with Kingfisher or Standalone Starter Kit.

I create Jira (SPEC-2352).

In R-Car case, running pulseaudio as system, then audio output works fine.

[steps]

systemctl stop --user pulseaudio pulseaudio.socket

systemctl start pulseaudio

parecord -d pcm3168a_input  audio-in.wav

paplay audio-in.wav

I think these steps mean disconnecting 4a-client from pulseaudio.

How to use / set audio input for current AGL audio system(4A or pulse)?

Best regards,

Kurokawa.

Subject: Renesas H3 Audio Input Jack Muted

Hi all,

I am currently using a Renesas H3 with Kingfisher to run the latest release of AGL. I am trying to use a microphone through the 3.5 mm jack but it appears to be muted somehow. Is there some config file somewhere that I can edit to unmute it?

Thanks,

Walter
