Try adding:

AGL_EXTRA_IMAGE_FSTYPES += "vmdk.xz"

in your conf/local.conf

    I have downloaded the Flunky Founder 6.0.2 source code and gave a build for QEMU based on the instructions given in this link - AGL Developer Site - Build for Qemu -

source meta-agl/scripts/aglsetup.sh -f -m qemux86-64 agl-demo agl-devel
bitbake agl-demo-platform

    The build gets completed with a warning and the compressed vmdk image is not available in folder tmp/deploy/images/qemux86-64/agl-demo-platform-qemux86-64.vmdk.xz

    A snapshot of the build output and the contents of the tmp/deployimages/ is given in the attached Libre office document in the mail. 

    Can anyone please guide why the "agl-demo-platfrom-qemux86-64.vmdk.xz" file is not getting generated? Am I missing something obvious?
