Application Development

Hello,

What is currently the recommended way to develop applications for AGL?
I was very interested in using an HTML5 frontend, but none of the demo
applications are working in Eel or Flounder after installing them (I
have yet to try on Grumpy Guppy, both Eel and Flounder were tested in
Qemu and on Raspberry Pi 3).

I also require the ability to interact with a backend service, which
will probably be written in C

Any suggestions or pointers are much appreciated!
