Hi Matsui-san, First a disclaimer: I do not work directly in AGL so the following is generic information but it should help
J What you experience is what I would expect.
r8a7795-es1-h3ulcb.dtb is for the v1.x boards that use WS 1.0/1.1 and so it would not surprise me that you have operational issues using it with a v2.0 board. r8a7795-h3ulcb.dtb is for the v2.0 boards and WS 2.0 and so would work as you have found. You can find more info at the elinux.org site for the H3 Starter Kit [1]. [1]
https://elinux.org/R-Car/Boards/H3SK As I said I don’t work in AGL but I suspect the AGL documentation you linked needs an update. Regarding Yocto BSP versions you should find the version tags in the git rep. I’m unsure if AGL is still using a fork of the upstream Yocto BSP or the upstream directly. They are certainly there
in the upstream. Unless eel 5.0.3 is using an older Yocto Project version I would expect the BSP version to be in the 3.x range.
So don’t worry use Image-r8a7795-h3ulcb.dtb with your v2.0 board. Helpfully that helps, although someone may be along in a minute to say why my generic comments are not 100%. On Behalf Of Kenji Matsui HI Walt, Thank you very much. Assume it is 2.23.0, strange thing is “Image-r8a7795-es1-h3ulcb.dtb” does not
run on my R-Car H3 Ver2.0 Starterkit
but “Image-r8a7795-h3ulcb.dtb” runs as expected.
does anybody know what is the difference above two .dtb ? Best Regards, -- From: Walt Miner [mailto:wminer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]
I am not sure the exact the version in 5.0.3, but it is at least 2.23.0 based on this Jira ticket. Regards, Walt On Wed, Aug 15, 2018 at 9:29 AM Kenji Matsui <kmatsui@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
