thanks a lot for your contribution.
Integrated into my code base -> builds ok.

Can you send me same metadata samples ('dmraid -rD' output files
tar'ed+bzip2'ed) so that I can elaborate this a bit more here, please ?
RAID10 example(s) would be greate too.

Hopefully will be able to look more at the code before Xmas.
