Hello,

A few days ago I asked for your help getting a Promise PDC20376 and SATA
Raid system up and running. I've given up on that attempt after
following everyone's advice with no luck. I took the motherboard and the
SATA drives back to the store and bought a Dell PowerEdge instead!

However, I do have a nice Seagate Barracude ATA V 120GByte drive left
over. And I wouldn't mind getting another one for the new system. But, I
don't want to run into Linux 9 configuration problems again so I'm
wondering if those in the know could recommend an ATA RAID controller
that fits the following bill:

- PCI64 interface
- supports 2 x 120GB ATA V Seagate Barracude drives (ST3120023A)
- has *real* RAID (hardware not software) 0,1,0+1 and hopefully 5
- has working drivers for Red Hat 9 (2.4.20-18.9) - source code is fine
- doesn't cost an arm and a leg

Thanks in advance for any recommendations you provide.
