Hi

well, I may be wrong but 2 things i have expirienced:
1.	I've heard (also on this list) that there are problems with the
continious operating if a disk fails in an ataraid raid1 array....
2.	I am able to access the disks of the array one by one to, even if
they are in an array. It is shurely a bad idea writing to the indivial
disks, but allowing access for smartd or other simillar software should
not be a problem (I think)...
