Hello all,
I've just installed a Promise SX4000 IDE Raid Card
into my computer and have had zero luck with getting
it to work. My config is as follows. 2.5Ghz 1G ram,
120G system drive using on board ide, raid card with
2x200g drives configured as raid 1 and 256 meg cache
ram, sony DVD burner. I have RedHat Linux 7.2
installed, I have my drives configured correctly with
the cards bios, I have the RedHat 7.2 driver installed
correctly (as far as I can tell) and I'm using GRUB as
my bootloader.
If i do an lsmod, FastTrak and scsi_mod appear. If I
try to do an "fdisk /dev/sca" or a "fdisk
/dev/ataraid/d0p0" I get an error saying "unable to
open.......". Does anyone have any suggestions as to
what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
Stuart
