Doesn't your controller work with the ataraid/pdcraid kernel modules? My
three servers are now running happily with a kernel 2.4.18-18.7.x which is
not tainted anymore! ;-)

(btw, the FastTrak.o module seems to not make the kernel as tainted since
it contains no license information...)
