Hello,

I just bought a Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW+ motherboard with onboard Promise PDC
20276 RAID Controller.

I have 2 WD 120GB HDDs that I would like to setup in RAID1. The OS is
RedHat 7.3.

If this is what you want, Linux ATA RAID HOWTO on
http://www.murty.net/ataraid/
may help you...

I tried that. I decided to just use the native linux MD drivers for software RAID instead. Now all I want is to get the RedHat installation to detect the HDDs as normal HDD devices, just like I would plug them into the normal onboard IDE controller.

I changed the RAID mode in the bios from RAID to ATA. RedHat is not detecting these disks.

Is it possible ?
