well it is possible to set up linux to boot from a ataraid-array, but there are some difficultys. first I don't know how good raid1 works...i personally user raid0... for debian see http://www.debianhelp.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=808 it works well for me with a K7T266 Pro2 ru (promise pdc20265r chip) but i have not been able to get lilo boot windows from the raid-array.... for other distributions i don't know but the above way should work as well, I think. PS: if somebody knows a way to boot windows from the array I would be glad to hear about it. mfg Albert On Tue, 28 May 2002 18:54:52 +0200 (MEST) Dread@xxxxxxx wrote: > Hi, > > Is it possible to setup an RAID1 with a FastTrack 100 (onboard) and install > linux on this raid?
