Re: Serviceable RAID-1?

Lots of the onboard Promise and Highpoint controllers can be jumpered to be
just an Ultra 100 Controller. I just do this and then use software RAID 1,
and it works good and fast. I have done this on a few Asus A7V-133 based
boxes with good success.

For real FastTraks, I have heard that you can install one drive, boot and
create an array, then remove it and do the same with the 2nd drive. Then
install both, reboot, and do the RH Installation, and use SW RAID 1, and all
will install well. I could probably dig up the exact posting describing
this procedure.
