Linux RAID Monitoring Program

I have just installed a Promise FastTrak 100 RAID controller using
RAID-1 (mirroring) with two 36GB Western Digital drives.

I am using the "ataraid" and "pdcraid" modules with the 2.4.13-ac8
Kernel in a RedHat 7.2 installation with the FastTrak 100 card.

Things are working fine.

Is there a way to monitor the health of the array in Linux ?? How do I
know both
drives are working ?? How do I know when a drive in my array goes down

without rebooting ?? The FastTrak FastMenu program on the FastTrak PCI
card provides much of this information, but it is necessary to reboot
the machine to run the FastMenu program. Is there a way to learn the
status of the array while running Linux ?? Has anyone written a Linux
program that can read the FastTrak bios that
is available for download ??

Thanks,
