You don't need to patch the kernel 2.4.16. The drivers are included. You
just need to select the ATARAID options(not as module but compiled in the
kernel) when you configure your kernel. But currently there are some issues
with RedHat 7.2. We are several people to have strange messages of error
reading sectors on the first drive of the array. Moreover the settings of
the array drives seems to be reset in strange situations...
