We've been able to make driver disks that are able to load the ataraid and pdcraid or hptraid modules, but anaconda does not recognize /dev/ataraid devices. It may be that the only drivers that can load 3rd party in that menu are "SCSI" and "Network", but the /dev/ataraid support in anaconda is thinking "IDE".
