Hi all I want to build a raid with either the Promise or the HP370 controller on a SMP system and have a few questions: HPT370 - the 'official binary' does not support SMP, does it? - any problems with the ataraid open-source driver (raid0 stable) ? - raid1 ? Promise - can linux open source drivers do raid0/raid1/raid10 (stable) ? (I do not need to boot from the raid) As I have not yet decided on the controller: which one would you recommend? (speed, driver status) Using md software raid (mirroring) would be much slower compared to the software-raid promise/hpt370 drivers? Thanks Bodo
