Hardware:
MB ABIT VP6, on-board HPT-370 raid (enabled, but not currently used)
Dual PIII 1GZ
1GB Ram
1 x 80GB disk OS, etc
1 x Promise FastTrak TX4 (20270) bios configured for 0+1
4 x 80GB disk on FastTrak

OS:
Mandrake 8.0
kernel 2.4.10 compiled with
(Yes) Support for IDE Raid controllers
     (Yes) Support Promise software RAID
     (Module) Highpoint 370 software RAID.

What I would like:
    1.  To set raid up successfully using the current version of linux I have installed, but will do whatever is need to the kernel.
    2.  Would like to use Rieserfs.
    2.  Be able to add 4 additional drives to the HPT-370 raid later to expand storage.

I have gone out, read many how-to's and remarks on how to do this.  I have been unsuccessful in making it work.  Here is part of the dmesg... also the whole message is attached.  Lookis like my ide is doing only 33MHz, how do I change it to 100?

Thanks
