Uh... perhaps RH7.1's lilo is already patched because I had no problem at all
booting off the FT.
Ah, another small one that I forgot in my previous post.
hdparm sees the ATA disks /dev/discs/disc*/disc unlike the SCSI emulation 
that promise bins did. Is it safe to play with those disks (say setup 
spindown timeouts & ACPI suspend stuff) without freezing &|| messing up the 
ataraid driver?
