Re: Turning up A-Links

Hi,

On this topic of signaling links versus bearer traffic.

Is it possible to just use the Asterisk box to bring in the signaling,
A-links only, and then via Asterisk MGCP control a media gateway like a
Cisco 5400?

That is, the SS7 information can be used with MGCP to control bearer traffic
that is not actually terminating in the Asterisk box?

Thanks,
