Re: Arch Linux public upload server

The main issues the way I see it are:
Moderation - How would we prevent spam/abuse? Pastebins can quickly be
subject to spam, scams, abuse and more.
Lifetime - Especially if there will be more than just text, it will eat
up resources quickly. Though, even with just text it can take up a lot
of space, especially if a lot of people use it.
However, having a TTL on everything can hinder people looking for help
on BBS and other channels. If someone posts a solution using the
pastebin service with a TTL, someone later down the road would just hit
a 404 when looking for answers to the same issue.

Also, as Levitating writes[1], rustypaste does not *have* to be the
solution to go for, I think it would depend on the main use cases.

I feel like having something accessible with the terminal *and*
accessible with a frontend would be a good solution.

Having a simple frontend, kind of like how Hastebin used to be, would
honestly be really cool and I would love something like that again as
I've missed it.
