If there are any graphical captchas in that registration that have to be solved, screen reader users whether using text browsers like lynx or graphical browsers like firefox cannot register since screen readers don't read graphics especially captchas. I know of one captcha provider that uses math problems written in text to solve but so far as I know, only D.O.D. is using that company's services.
