My mac book pro heats easily up to 80 degrees when on lot of load.
It even reaches 100 and throttles when boosting is enabled.
70-80 under load seem normal for laptops as well.
Cooler the better, but if you look at the CPU specs, it's operating range is up until 84 for my i7, with 104 being critical temperature.
