Before switching to the new dcron I always used fcron. I didn't notice
any issues with dcron but I also hadn't had any issues with fcron, and
fcron has a lot of useful features also for systems which don't run
24/7.

So if there are serious issues with dcron I'd also suggest switching to
fcron as default.
