Apache 1.3.41 child processes crashing frequently.

All,
I have compiled Apache 1.3.41 + mod_perl + mod_jk + modssl.Apache child
processes are crashing very very frequently and the error.log is getting filled
up with the following message

I have compiled
Apache with -g option to get the symbols loaded,but unfortunately nothing comes
up in stack trace.
Any thoughts to
solve the issue?
