Thanks Andre, Yes you right, I'm not using the same port and either the same server My URL is: http://myserver.com/myapp and it's redirected by apache to http://mybackend.com:8080/myapp using mod_proxy_http and ajp://mybackend.com:8009/myapp using mod_proxy_ajp and both work fine. my issue is that I want to hide the URI in the browser when you click any link in the html page or when you write an URL in the adress bar. I think making my application as ROOT will answer my question to avoid specifiying the context path.
