I copied a file with a .exe extension to the DocumentRoot ( RHEL5.2, httpd-2.2.10-1 ) It has 664 permissions. When I try to access it with a browser, I get: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /file.exe on this server. The error log says: [Thu Apr 02 22:45:57 2009] [error] [client 192.168.61.83] (13)Permission denied: access to /file.exe denied Not too helpful. I looked for "exe" in httpd.conf and /etc/httpd/conf.d/* to no avail. I created a test.txt file with the same permissions in the same directory and can see that in my browser.
