it's time to think about upgrading if it is a non-patched 2.0.52.

no need to do that.

Copy your apache config file. Adjust the "listen" directive and make
sure the logfiles, pid-files, lock-files, mutex-files are not
interferring. Launch a 2nd apache with this 2nd config file. Done.
