I don't believe there are any known memory leaks in apache httpd. But it wouldn't be unusual for memory usage to increase somewhat over time since some requests require more memory than others and it is usually impossible to return memory to the OS. It shouldn't continue to rise indefinitely. Memory leaks might be present in some module that you using with apache. You can, of course, recycle processes occasionally by setting MaxRequestsPerChild to some not-too-small number. Other than that, I'm not sure what question you are really asking.
