Thank you for the quick reply.It never occurred to me that I needed to add these permissions in the <Directory> section.
In the main configuration part I have user directories defined as: <Directory /home/*/htdocs> AllowOverride None Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory>I assumed that this definition was going to be "inherited" by the <VirtualHost> directives.
