I don't know what you mean by "archives of the directory".  Could you
be more specific?

Perhaps (trying to do some mind-reading), you are talking about the
fact that fancy-indexing is turned off by default in 2.2.  If so, have
a look at conf/extra/httpd-autoindex.conf for an example of how to
turn it on and configure it.
