[users@httpd] Weird name resolution problem

Hello,

My server, an apache 2.0.59, with mod_perl running on solaaris 10 has
the following error mesage in its log:

[Thu Sep 28 12:11:50 2006] [error] (145)Connection timed out: proxy:
HTTP: attempt to connect to 138.188.201.210:8222
(msnvflfegate1v.swissptt.ch) failed

This error occurs when I try to access a URL, that is proxied to msnvflfegate1v.

What is very odd however, is that the target machine in question,
msnvflfegate1v.swissptt.ch has the IP 138.188.101.210, but somehow,
somewhere apache seems to pick up the idea that the IP is
138.188.201.210 (notice the difference is a signle digit.).

- When I type in "host msnvflfegate1v.swissptt.ch" in a shell on this
machine I get the correct IP
- I checked /etc/hosts. I checked resolv.conf, I checked the nscd, I
even rebooted the machine.
- I checked all our DNS servers.

Nowhere is msnvflfegate1v.swissptt.ch mentioned with an IP of
138.188.201.210. Still apache is convinced that this is the correct
IP.

What could be happening here?

Krist
