See if you have more logs in /var/log/httpd. Those may provide
additional information if they exist.

Some of you will probably recognize this problem from last week. We have been having major email problems and I have not been able to send or receive mail most days. So, I hope this message gets sent.

I am running Apache Version 1.3 on a Unix system. Things were running fine until storms took out the power over the July 4th week-end and the system needed to be re-started. This system was set up by a third party company who no longer provides support. So, I am trying to determine what the problem is. The Unix system itself starts and all of the processes that I expect, except Apache.

Once the system is up and I look at my running processes I see the following:

ps -a
  PID TT STAT TIME COMMAND
  144 p0 Is 0:00.03 login [pam] (login)
  145 p0 I 0:00.03 -tcsh (tcsh)
  149 p0 I 0:00.05 lynx
  151 p0 I 0:00.00 sh -c /usr/local/web/internal-documents/bin/shell.sh
  152 p0 I 0:00.00 sh -c /usr/local/web/internal-documents/bin/shell.sh
  155 p0 I 0:00.02 /usr/local/bin/tcsh
  159 p0 S 0:00.10 _su (csh)
  279 p0 R+ 0:00.00 ps -a
    8 con Is+ 0:00.08 sh /etc/rc autoboot
  219 con I+ 0:00.05 sendmail: ./k6CB79kE000219 localhost.blissfield.k12.m

I see no indication that Apache is running. If I go to usr/local/etc/rc.d and type apache.sh start and press enter, then display my processes, I see the same thing. I do not receive any kind of error telling me that Apache cannot start.

The httpd.conf file shows ErrorLog /usr/local/web/logs/error_log
So, I looked at that file and this is the end of it:

Thanks in advance for any suggestions on how to resolve this problem.
