Fantastic - I changed 80 to 8000 and Apache is up and running. HTML files below htdocs can be retrieved.

Note the error message for 80 was only shown in the "DOS" window and never made it to the error log. It simply reported as being unable to bind to port 80.

I now do have an error log ok. It started up once the 8000 went in and I "Start"ed.
